..a home away from home..

We love escaping real life troubles and coming down to St. George. It truly is a home away from home (literally, my parents own a second home that we have the privilege of staying in whenever it is vacant).

We love the small-town atmosphere and the beautiful red rocks. We love the heat. We love the food. We love the shopping and the strange people we meet.

Vacations are my favorite time of year, whenever they come around. Sleeping in and eating whatever I want, laying out by the pool and watching endless movies with my honey, going on walks and finding new thrift stores. We did all of the above activities multiple times. Is it possible to get tired of a life like this?

Here are some of the photos of our trip. Hope you enjoy!

(I just noticed that the couple in the background look like they are posing for our picture. ha ha)

Judd's is our favorite little place to eat lunch in St. George. I love the atmosphere. It is a historic store that has been in St. George a very long time (I don't know the number of years though). It is has old-fashioned candy, a soda bar where you can order ice cream cones, fresh daily homemade soup, and lots of pretty antiques to look at.

Below: My bowl of soup and breadsticks.

Below: gone in an instant! So delicious.

We had an especially fun time last weekend because Andrew's parents and best friend/cousin decided to join us for a few days and have a vacation too. About a month ago Andrew's dad (Bill) saw a billboard for a Brian Regan show up in SLC. He got really excited because he loves to laugh and let me tell you, everyone around him loves it when he laughs too. He has the greatest, most contagious laugh. So we began to help him research about purchasing some tickets. He ended up buying tickets for last weekend's show in St. George at the Tuacon Theater.

The boys had a blast learning how to play Pickle Ball. It was really fun to watch them too.

Overall, We had an amazing week. We are so lucky to be able to take off work every once in a while in order to spend some quality time together.

I have another St. George trip coming up in a few weeks with some of my very best High School friends. I'm very excited to spend some time with these girls. They are my very favorite people to be with. Check back soon to hear about our adventures.

p.s. Coming up very soon is surprise for some of our readers! We are very excited (and you should be too).
